WinHEC 2008 Keynote
“WinHec 2008 just started and the keynote is available in three different quality streams that can be watched online. The Keynote begins with a few information for the attendees of the WinHec 2008 conference and an introduction of the keynotes that are going to follow: The video contains both the keynotes of Steven Sinofsky and Jon DeVaan and has a total playtime of 1:18 hours.”

Of interesting though, the keynote contains some interesting information about Windows 7. One of the first presentations shows boot time comparisons between Windows Vista with Windows 7.
PDC 2008
Now that PDC 2008 is over … and more news about Windows 7 is known … why not head on over to the Microsoft site to watch some videos from PDC.

There videos are hosted by Channel 9 and uses Silverlight, so your mileage may vary.
PDC (and Windows 7) is Coming !
So, what’s PDC you ask ?
Back in 1991, Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference (PDC) was the definitive Microsoft event for software developers and architects focused on the future of the Microsoft platform. Fastforward to 2008 and it’s the first PDC event in 3 years. At each PDC, there are many well known and excellent speakers lined up over many sessions. You can also expect a lot of product announcements and get a view for what Microsoft has in store for the future of developers (and down the line customers).

PDC is part of a family of three Microsoft technical conferences for developers with the other two events being:
- Tech-Ed Developers Conference (Orlando, FL) is an annual event focused on in-depth technical training on Microsoft’s current products.
- MIX Conference (Las Vegas, NV) is an annual event aimed at developers, designers and business decision makers who build next generation consumer web sites. This conference is used to announce new technologies for web development as well as training for current products.
Each attendee will get a 160HD with a copy of the latest Windows 7 Beta and a bunch of other goodies.
