Server 2008 R2 Feedback Fail
Like Windows 7, Server 2008 R2 has the “Send Feedback” link on every window and after having a few problems, I thought, I might as well send some feedback.
I was then told, I needed to enter my product key and activate it before sending feedback. So, I put in the key and was then told that this key is unavailable to be used to activate this computer. Great … so no feedback then.
I guess Microsoft are sitting there thinking this product is awesome, because no one’s providing any bad feedback — no positive feedback either but hey — no news is good news right ?
Beautiful Crashes
Well with Windows 7, it seems Microsoft has decided that if their applications are going to crash, they might as well look good when they’re doing it.
I’ve had a number of crashes with the latest build 7000 (a lot more than 6801 too) in which a white haze will then appear over the offending application — telling me, this program is no longer responding. I’ve also seen another box appear saying Windows has done something wrong with a green progress bar, that cycles through, not even indicating any progress.
Here’s an idea MS. Why not make it so your programs actually run properly and forget about crap like this. This is just the kind of warm and fuzzy stuff that makes you want to blow your own brains out, rather than put up.
